Aluminum branch wiring can pose a fire hazard in certain cases. These defects can be difficult to identify without detailed diagnostic testing which is beyond the scope of this inspection. We recommend that aluminum wiring and fittings be further evaluated by an aluminum wiring specialist to determine what course of repair is recommended.
